I found a few by accident when I was attempting to create "Merettins." I was using mernorns and ettins to breed together or be fused together ala the gene splicer machine. I discovered that if any norn dies (or maybe just mernorns) if you click and drag it with the pick me up cob (I could never make blueberry work ) just as its floating or just died and place it into the water it will not continue floating. Even weirder using an inseminator cob you could get eggs from the dead one. I know I feel horrible about trying this, I am so sorry. And this is where the really weird glitch happens. If you pop the new egg from the dead mernorn into a incubator and hatch it. I think 1/5 of the time an adult mernorn (or ettin because I used one ettin along with a mernorn) will pop out. I tried bringing them as close to water as possible but then they would drown (yes, seriously) so apparently they might be babies with adult sprites.
The weirdness continues. I managed to save one Merettin and correctly deduced his lack of ability to breath underwater. I named him strangeboy because as soon as I imported him...he started to float away...He may actually have some control over this because he could swim (in the sky!) about up and down. I have no other thoughts then how the heck can this happen!?
Also again I am sorry about the dead mernorn egg bit. Please note I in no way endorse or condone norn torture in any way. I did not deliberately kill the norn. |

Uhm. I'm sorry, but what version of the game is this? And what's the specific problem? I see a few issues here but I'm not sure what you want addressed in particular.

Albian years. And I think Strangeboy's lack of wind resistance is due to the fact he apparently his body according to his physical readings from the science kit his body has no reading like its dead. I am really curious how to examine this guy further and figure out what the heck is going on. |

But Albian Years is a bundle with two separate games... are you playing Creatures 1 or Creatures 2? I assume if you have Ettins it must be C2 Albian Years?
Some of the weirdness you describe sounds a bit like a glitch, but some of it also sounds like it might be a COB going haywire. Do you have any COBs or patches in your world that are supposed to affect swimming/flying Creatures?

now, now, the only thing that is unique is that we have a magician norn. no need to panic. just get him to a stage and you have a new toy!
(this was a joke. don't take it seriously.)

Oh, I was using creatures 2. Sadly strangeboy couldn't pass the flight genes onto his children. But it was really weird watching him struggle against the wind. Though I mated via cob with a female clone version of him called strangegirl. Strangegirl can't fly. Although if you watched him provided there was no wind (I had no idea the game had wind current, storms yes) he could actually float and control where he was going. I don't think anyone has come up with a flying norn or ettin yet. So maybe the glitch could be a key Ideas? |
