Just curious, what the average lifespan of a norn? Like official breed? Also what about creatchis average lifespan? |

The lifespan of your average (C3) norn is right around 10 or 11 hours. Bondis tend to live longer than their other official breed counterparts. All creatchi live up to 24 days if properly taken care of. :3 Edited: Clarified version. :3 Updated Rehosting Policy[/title] |

The original C1 breeds were missing the "died from old age" receptor, so their life chemical would drop to zero and they would still live on! Ditto for grendels (I've got a grendel over 100 hours old). If the death receptor is set to kick in around a level of 6 or 7 (out of 255), then the norn will have a lifespan of about 10 hours. That said, mutations are common, and I've had "standard" looking norns living 30 hours within a couple of generations. C3 norns, I'm not sure - in my recent wolfling run, almost all the first gens (mostly standard breeds) who died of old age died at 5 hours 39 minutes - to the minute! Given that it was a pretty hands-off wolfling, a surprising number made it to their maximum lifespan. If you were actively caring for them, I should imagine you'd only lose those norns with genetic damage that killed them off early. |
