Hii everybody! I have a question. I saw a creature in CreatureLink that I would love to adopt, however it has CFE genetics, and I would like to know if I could breed it with a non-CFE creature. Also, I don't have any CFE in my Creatures, is it ever going to work if I put it in my game?

CFE stands for Creatures Full of Edits, which you can learn more about here and here. They basically have vastly improved brain lobes and instincts, although I've never paid too much attention to the differences. I've always used CFE! Mixing CFE and non-CFE Creatures is not recommended, as the resulting offspring could inherit only some of the CFE genes and thereby be rendered problematic. Sliders might also be possible.
You can download all of the CFE varieties of the official breeds here. A CFE Norn can be added to your world and still function properly, since no additional files are required (save for the updated breeding script in the link above). You can always hatch new CFE Creatures. I think you'll notice a difference in them: They're typically better able to care for themselves! Though I must say that they're also much more talkative...

I only recently got myself into CFE's within the last month or two, but I can say that so far CFE x non-CFE has not caused me any troubles. They're not as smart as CFE in the first generation crosses, but naturally you can't get 100% of something out of one of your two parents.

The adoptions section also has starter pairs of several third-party breeds as CFE. |
