I tried the Garden box for the first time with just a few agents and it seemed to work just fine. Frustration started when I couldn't figure out how to remove the patch plants. (I ended up exporting all norns, trashing and remaking the world because of it.)
Now I decide to try it again so I download a few more agents and none of the newer ones will show up in GB.
I am running an undocked world with C3 installed.
Any ideas or should I just give it...

You might like to check out the Owner's Manual to the garden box.
You need to have the agent you want to remove selected in the list, and then you need to hold down the Shift key and click the little red button.

I've been through that link many times. I had misplaced a patch plant so I a single plum regrowing in a very strange place. I couldn't (and still can't) figure out how to get rid of the patch.
That link to the owners manual says to use the Magic words to get rid of the patch... So I have to figure out MC before I can figure out how to remove the patch?

It might help, if you have very many plum patches.
Grab the Magic Words Core from this link, leave the cos file out for now, inject the agent and type the word 'help' into your word balloon, as if you were instructing a norn to help another norn, and push enter. That should bring up a list of what magic words commands are enabled.
The command you want (you can double-check if it's installed by bringing up the list) is typing in 'Patch Options' (case sensitive) into your speech bubble and pushing enter. This should bring up the white dotted lines showing you where all of your patches are installed. By clicking inside the patch, you can select it (turn it green) and choose to remove the patch.

Since I had wine with dinner, perhaps its best I wait until tomorrow before I go trying a bunch of new stuff. ![[nblush] [nblush]](/images/smilies/emot_blush.gif)
I'll try this tomorrow morning with my coffee. Thanks for helping out. Now if I can figure out why only some of the GB agents are showing up and others aren't...
Does DS have a limit on the number of agents the injector can read? I have a ton of them in My Agents folder, but not many injected in this particular world.

Maybe a good night's sleep could help.
It could be that you've got a filter on, and not all of the agents are of the same kind - have you tried clicking the blue button a few times to see if that changes the selection of agents you've got available?

I had the same problem - couldn't figure out how to get rid of the patches. The shift-click thing I couldn't get to work. I found it easiest to use magic words, type "patch options" (without the quotes) then all the patches show up in white. You can hover the mouse over one until it turns green, then you can click and get the configuration window up, which has a "remove patch" button. |

Thanks for your help! I got the magic words core and it helps a lot.
You know what else helps a lot? Putting files in the actual My Agents folder instead of the backup folder! ![[nlaugh] [nlaugh]](/images/smilies/emot_laugh.gif)
Oh yeah, I'm a dork.

Haha! I'm glad you've got everything working properly now. It could be partly my fault; I could probably do with making the installation instructions clearer in my Readme files.
Go off and enjoy the Garden Box! I want to see screenshots. |
