Oh, C3DS - why you so buggy?! I'm setting up undocked DS to run wolfling round 2. I wanted to use the original world, because I've got The Crypt (for DS) installed and wanted to keep all the data there. However, the norn terrarium and grendel jungle needed to come out. Neither will remove without throwing an access violation error, which dumps me back to the desktop.
So - I created a new world and tried to move the Crypt info across. If I move all the files from the original Wolfling folder, it works, but I also have copies of the grendel jungle and norn terrarium. If I copy only the Attic, Basement, Images and Journal files, the world is fine but the norn info isn't there. It's like the actual info I need is locked in the original "SpaceAndAllThatIsOutThere" file. (Which is probably also where the corruption is.)
Does anyone know if there's any way either round the metaroom uninstall error or moving the Crypt info? I'm hoping that when new creatures are registered, it will at least give their parental info because it's got the other files, even if I lose the graveyard info; I've always got that in the original world. |

One method that works absolutely for sure, but what is massively annoying would be to use magic words or raw CAOS to remove first all agents and agent mothers (those which spawn other agents if extinct), get rid of each script, remove the rooms one by one and finally kill the metaroom itself.
It will work for sure, but probably takes an hour or two per room.
Otherwise IDK...

I tried that on the jungle, things were respawning faster than I could get rid of them, and I couldn't see from where! I'd have to get a classifiers list and script it, I think. Presumably that's what the remove agent does, though I don't know why it's falling over - unless it's because I'm using Exodus, not straightforward DS. |

Well yeah, that is what removal agents do, just faster.
