Hi!! I've dusted off my old genetics kit (Creatures 2) and I'm messing with the Pigment Bleed genes. I'm getting lots of interesting results, but I'm not quite sure how it works exactly... What are rotation and swap, and what do they do? Thanks!!

I think a lot of the pigment bleed genes are still a bit of a mystery, but I believe Tarilithina is doing a bit of research into them! I know that this page has some great information (in French). I learned a good bit about the genes from it! Hope this helps a little bit!

Well, I've been doing some research with tints, but it was in C3/DS, so it might be a bit different in C2.
Anyway, for rotation, just imagine a color wheel. The tint you pick in RGB is a point on the wheel, and rotation controls how far it moves on the wheel, and in what direction. If you set rotation to 128, it's neutral, and the tint doesn't change. If you set it to anything above 128, than the imaginary color wheel is rotated in the direction R>G>B. If the value is below 128, than the wheel rotates in the direction R>B>G. How much of a difference there is between your value and 128 controls how much the wheel rotates.
Swap is much simpler. For this, a value that is lower than 128 brightens red. A value higher than 128 brightens blue. Again, the difference controls how much it is brightened.
