Hi everybody! I'm still trying to work on my first spriting project, but haven't had much luck. GIMP hasn't been liking me at all, and I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. If any of you could give me advice, that would be great. Also, I'm using the Fallows as a base, and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get pictures of each of the genders/lifestages, preferably facing forward, so that I can recolor them and see how I want them to look before I go through with the whole spriting thing. (I'd do it myself, but this computer keeps crashing the game, and I have to wait to get access to the family desktop.) Anyway, any help would be appreciated, and if I get those pictures and manage to recolor them, I'll post them to show y'all what I had in mind; I'd like opinions. Thank you very much! |

I'm going to be working on an updated version of the Color Test, which will definitely include all of the original breeds. Although the Fallows are not included, if you find a breed that has similar coloring, you can experiment with different pigments. Likely this project will be something for the CCSF, but the current download is a decent place to start!
When you talk about recoloring them, though, do you mean through genetics or through actual coloring in a separate program? Another thing you could do is to use the Green Screen in order to get a couple of screenshots of the Norns to color in GIMP or another program.
Hope this helps... Even though I feel like I'm rambling a whole lot!

Thanks you for the advice, Jessica. I shall definitely look into that. And I meant color them in a different program first to see how they look. |
