Hi,
I tried editing the C2 jellyfish to test out how I should save the file and export etc.
I used spritebuilder to export the original file to bmp's, edited those in photoshop and saved them as BMP again. When I open them in spritebuilder and save them to .s26 over the original files, I open the game and the jellyfish's colors are deformed. I guess I saved it badly but changing the type of bmp always gives me an error when trying to import to spritebuilder again.

Can you find any kind of preference labelled 555/565? As I understand it, sprites in C2 can be saved in 2 formats, 555 and 565, and if you get sprites with the wrong format it looks psychedelic in-game.
I think that two other programs that can work with S16s are BoBCoB's SpriteEditor and Edos.

Thanks for replying.
I tried saving the files with that mode, something like 'r5 g6 b5', on photoshop, but it turns them into 32 bit files and Spritebuilder nor Edos can open those(I tried BoBCoB yesterday but it wont even open). When I save them on 24 bit, and open them on Edos I click on 565 mode, but saving them still makes the colors in-game look psychedelic.

Try opening a copy of a file that you know works using Edos. Then delete every image in that copy, and replace the images with your images. Then save it as rhasawesomejellyfish.S16, and select 's16' from the dropdown list. That should allow it to keep the proper formatting from before to after.

I gave up and restored the original image folder and now the game crashes.
I'll reset the pc and if necesary reinstall.

This may sound really dumb and tedious, but when I made the Cheese Ettins for C3/DS I would copy/paste from Photoshop into Paint then copy/paste into Spritebuilder. It was the only thing I could figure out so the images didn't come out "psychedelic". |

That's actually what I do, Emzie! Well, sort of. For Creatures 1, I copy the image from One Stop Sprite Workshop (equivalent of Spritebuilder for C1), paste it in Paint, and then copy it again to finally paste it in Photoshop. If I save it in Photoshop as a .bmp and then import it into One Stop Sprite Workshop, I haven't run into any issues.
One other possible tip: When saving the .bmp, do you save it as a 24-bit with the row order flipped? That's what I did for creating egg agent glyphs for C3/DS, and I didn't run into any issues.

I also do the same as Emzie. Beats having a million BMP files sitting around, having to worry about Photoshop save settings, etc... and if you know the right keystrokes it can help cut down the time somewhat too.

Glad to know I wasn't totally insane for doing it that way, haha! I kept thinking there has to be a better way, but trying to save as bmp and import them in never worked correctly no matter what I tried. |

Well, I can't open it if I don't save in 24bit so yeah.
Row order?
I uninstalled and reinstalled albian years, the jellyfish was still warped, I removed the whole game, saves and everything, reinstalled...still, warped jellyfish.
I don't really care but...Hey maybe I can just remove the whole file and forget about the jellyfish.
