The Remastered patch comes with two .dll files. Neither of them seems to have copied to the game directory- am I supposed to move them to it? I extracted the patch into my downloads directory and it *says* it worked fine.
It also said that I might need to replace some exe files to finish- but with what? If I'm supposed to replace them with the originals, what was the point of the patch?
I'm seriously beginning to regret purchasing the GOG version. I reinstalled again, and while I can make docked worlds again (it was crashing previously with no explanation), it's back to extracting everything to My Documents, even though I applied the patch and said yes to the "do you want to apply My Documents fix?" option. |

Have you tried running as an administrator? Are you in 16-bit or 32-bit?

Yes I have, and I'm on Vista 32-bit (unless you mean color, in which case I switched to 16-bit for DS.)
Oh, and User Account Control is turned off and has been for a long time. I tried turning off the firewall during the install this time too to see if that made a difference-- obviously, it didn't. |

Vista, eh? Not sure what to do there. Though I don't remember the patch doing any of what you described. I just installed it, installed the patch, done. How odd...

It works fine if I install it to My Documents/Creatures/[insert game here], at least. I don't think the crash was related, I probably just put a cosfile in wrong somewhere. Still, it's frustrating, because putting programs in My Docs just looks messy. ![[ngrimace] [ngrimace]](/images/smilies/emot_grimace.gif) |

Oh yeah, I had to put it in the Documents folder too. :I
