Help Forum Help with C2    Wee Scrivener Trell        6/6/2013 Okay, nothing majorly technical this time, but I'm rather new to C2 so I'm in need of a little assistance. I haven't done much to the world yet, but I may have broke a couple things... First thing's first, does the GOG Albian Years C2 come with updated genomes, or will my current Norns develop OHSS? Is the sleep update a good thing to add to the world? I think I remember hearing that it can mess up the game... And I don't remember if I injected it or not. Is there a way to turn off the Grendels? I may have developed a better opinion of the species in general, but the C2 Grendels kind of freak me out still... Are there any must have cobs for C2? And lastly, is there any information that I simply must know? Tips, advice, that sort? Trell "Holy crap in a casket!"   Sanely Insane RisenAngel Manager     6/6/2013 I believe Albian Years has all of the latest C2 updates, including the updated genomes. I would say no, considering that Lis Morris made a COB specifically to remove it. I believe she found that it actually screwed up norn sleeping habits. Spirit made a COB that lets you remove the Grendel and Ettin Egglayers that's available here. However, once you inject this COB, you cannot undo it. There's another, superior COB that lets you turn it off and on, in addition to having a few updates for the Grendels and Ettins, but I'm not sure if it's available anymore. I don't play C2 enough to worry about COBs, so I don't have a good answer for the third question. As for the fourth question...I suggest just skipping the default norns and getting yourself some Cannies - the Cannies aren't as stupid as the default creatures are. CU7 has some nice Canny Norns for download, both in Amphibious and WR-friendly varieties. ~ The Realm ~ Risen Angel's Creatures Blog   Malkin Manager     6/6/2013 C-Rex made a list of C2 Must-Haves in the resource section. My TCR Norns   Tarlia   6/7/2013 Seconding the Canny norns. Even the updated genomes produce far stupider norns than the canny genome. C2 grendels are really just kind of sad. They tend to fall into the volcano and then spend their whole life slowly dying in there while getting radioactive poisoning and staring at the snails that live in there. :/
