'Ello there! So, I have a couple of issues I need help fixing. I attribute them to the fact that I have Windows 8, since I haven't experienced them before with XP. The fixes may be obvious to some, but I just got back to playing Creatures after not being able to for a long time. D: I've forgotten a few things regarding errors, and while I re-learn them I'm going to need you guys' help!
I'll specify any new additions, but for now, these are my current problems.
Genetics Kit Issues:
1. GenKit crashes whenever I click to edit a gene. (Allows loading a genome, and placing an egg, but won't let me edit anything or it crashes)
I was given the link to an alternate GenKit, which seems to work, but I'd like to get the CDN one to work as well, since I already know how to use it.
Sprite Issues:
0. Pearl Mermaid Norns, the female crashes the game. I believe it to be a sprite issue because I managed to catch a glimpse of a "static-like line" coming from her foot. About 5 seconds later the game crashed completely. More of a report than a needed fix for me, since I removed them (attempted to) from my game since I no longer wished to use the breed. Nothing against those norns, they are a great breed! ^_^ I just did not need them anymore, as I was merely trying them out. :3
Body Data Issues:
1. Aquanorn male, the tail is coming from his back and he looks like he got smushed. Does not effect the female. I figure this is probably because of the Pearl Mermaid norns' body data conflicting somehow, but I am not sure. (I attempted to remove the Pearl Mermaid Norns anyway, since I won't be using C2toDS because it is rather buggy for me, and I don't breed C2 breeds with C3/DS breeds xP)
Is there a fix or should I re-download the aquanorns? I might have skipped over something on their website, as I have trouble navigating that site, haha.
Sorry if I don't make sense, I have a headache. x_x

In regards to the Pearl Mermaid Norns, do you know which version you're using? The updated second version can be found here, and has a lot of fixes to the originals. I haven't heard any problems with the new version, but I have yet to test them out for myself!

Hmm, I just set up an aquatic world just now and also had a runtime error shut down the game shortly after I had the Pearl Mermaid Norns swimming around. Granted, I had a bunch of other agents, but I'm thinking the error you spotted could be something that affects this breed in general. Anyone else experience this problem?

Since I removed the sprites, I could place another female in the world, and see if it really is the sprites or some other issue?

Yes, though I'd recommend creating a new world in order to test it--I do this a lot when making breeds, because sometimes the game still won't "refresh" the in-game version of the sprites if you use the same world.

It seems the creator has also identified the problem, and is looking into fixing it. I cannot create new worlds because of my problem here.
