Norn walking to right only.

One of my norns in DS seems to only walk to the right.
I am not sure what to do with her.
She just keeps walking into the wall no matter what I do.
Can anybody tell me what is wrong with her?

Oops I double posted.

As far as I know, it's a brain issue, your norn only has half a brain. This thread explains it in more detail.

So where can I get the other half from?

The norn inherited its genes from its parents at birth - you can gengineer its genome to make sure it has a full brain, and then hatch a clone.

It's easier to remove the incomplete brain than it is to build the other half! [nlaugh] Believe me, I started doing that myself once... I just now realized that I have yet to finish it.

I've had the same issue, but with a double brain rather than half a brain.

I actually made one of my Norns become a right-walker during an experiment to see how deleting the brain genes affected behaviour. He also never spoke or listened to the hand, and I unfortunately had to put him down, seeing as he was probably going to die anyway.

I had a no-brain and a brain and a half. :D The brain and a half was much easier to fix than the no-brain, which is the one I've yet to finish. I got sidetracked from the poor fellow.

Without a genome to look at or more information on Nornynorn's case, though, there's really only few things that we can suggest. Besides exporting the right walker, or euthanizing it, or poking about the thread link that Malkin provided.

Shouldn't it be possible to make an artificial brain? Using the SOUL command you can turn off the damaged "real" brain.
Afterwards you must add a way to process it properly. It had to hook to the norn's senses and process them properly.
It would not offer much variation, though. I guess you could simulate 1-2 default generic brains, e.g. the CL brain and the CFE brain.

The question is just how....

Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis...

I remember once having a Norn in a Wolfling Run that only walked to the right and slept. Most likely a half-brain.

Hmm, I don't know anything about how to fix the norns brain, so I think I will just keep her exported for now.
