I've been away from the community for a while, so forgive me if I sound ignorant spreading old news here.
I recently when to install the genetics kit for c3/Ds and I clicked the link on the creatures wiki page right under the link to the site, expecting to actually download the kit. What I got instead was a bunch of malware. When seeing the installer at first I assumed I would merely have to uncheck boxes to get to the actual kit, but the program installed it anyway. I've just had to purge my computer of this junk.
So, one, that should probably be removed if possible. Two, where can I actually get the kit?

Was it this link that you clicked?
http://www.gamewaredevelopment.com/downloads/cdn/C3_DS_GK_1_16_4.exe
If so, that's the official link to the kit on the CDN. I'm not sure why it would be seen as malware by your system. ![[nquestion] [nquestion]](/images/smilies/emot_question.gif)

This was the link, and I think it's the same
This is what the installer looks like:

The next few pages take me to several installers that will install various things like VisualBee toolbar/search engine. Supposedly if you hit custom install and uncheck it it shouldn't install but it still did.

I downloaded it and got a perfectly fine genetics kit installer. :/ I'm guessing this is a problem with your computer or browser as opposed to the download link.

Yeah, that link should not be bringing up any kind of box, there should be nothing for you to uncheck--it is a link straight to the .exe download. Optimum Installer is known adware (read: malware) and has nothing to do with Gameware's downloads. It's something already on your computer, which is triggering itself when you try to download the file.

Just a note that I updated the image to link to it, rather than show it, since it was stretching the forum.
As already stated, it looks like there's something going on with your computer, rather than with the link itself. At first I thought this might be an issue with the domain switch from .co.uk to .com, but the link provided for the Genetics Kit works fine for me. Hope you're able to get rid of the adware/malware soon! I recommend looking into Malwarebytes Anti-Malware as a possible solution, unless you already have another program in mind.
