How would I use RACE or PACE to work out how efficiently my game is running?

PACE is just "outv pace" at the command line. The lower the number, the more efficient. It should be lower than 1. If it's not, you probably have a rogue script somewhere. |

Well, you know how Mac engines are supposedly slower than others? 1.28. 
Is there a way to get that kind of stuff in a .txt file, at a regular interval?

CTRL+SHIFT+P will output this value in a window to the lower left of the screen. Pretty useful.

In this example I formatted the string: weekday month/day/year hour:minute:second pace. When you stuff this into a timer script, you should get a wonderful output like
Wednesday 05/15/13 11:52:57: 0.414000
and afterwards an empty line to seperate individual outputs. The append-flag of FILE OOPE is set to 1, so it will create the file if it not exists and add to it when it does (rather than overwriting it).
Also, it'll write the file to the local world journal folder, not your global one. Just in case you don't find it.
Another note: for the timer script you should rely on real time (see RTIM), not on ingame ticks, in case you wanna run this in a wolfing run. You might end up with some spam otherwise...
