I have run into a very strange situation. I can create a new world docked with C3 just fine, but if I try to create an undocked, DS only world the engine throws a whole heap of errors, starting with:
.\Bootstrap\010 Docking Station\Creature detector2.cos
Invalid map position (931.000000, 3432.000000) ... 199 accg 4 perm 60 {@}mvto rand 770 1570 3432 elas 0 ...
Windows NT/2000 6.1 build 7601 (Service Pack 1)
OriginalDisplay DirectX (netbabel 148)
Wed Apr 17 12:32:29 2013 - ______ - 2.286 b195
and then going through every .cos file in the bootstrap.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be borked?
I'm running on Window 7, btw; the engine must be detecting the compatibility options.

There was a thread with a similar issue to this one a while back, but I can't remember what it was called and therefore couldn't find it and link you to it.
If I remember correctly, however, the problem was solved by going through the DS bootstrap folder and looking for misplaced .cos files. In this case, it looks like you might have some .cos files that normally inject C3 agents in your DS bootstrap folder.

I'd assume that was the case as well if the engine were complaining about C3 agents, however, it's complaining about the DS agents. All of them.
I should note that this happens immediately on loading the world in question; continuing through all of the (dozens) of errors leads to a blank DS screen with no interface.
But, I will go through me bootstrap and see if I may have accidentally dropped a C3 agent in there by mistake.

Update:
Alright, I went into the DS Installer with winrar, nabbed a clean copy of the 010 Docking Station folder, and DS loads.
So....
I owe you an apology.
Now to go through all (!) of my cosfiles and find the one that is causing this ruckus.
Edit:
After searching, I found a cosfile named creature detector2.cos. It throws an error for both C3 and DS, depending on which bootstrap it's located in. I have an idea that it may have been a .cos edit from way-way-way back in the day.
Therefore, I believe the following may be true: I am the source of my own misery.
Thanks again Grendel Man, and sorry for the doubt.

Something similar happens to me both when I try to make a docked DS world AND a undocked one... |
