Quick question?
I downloaded a new breed (fairyfloss) and some new metarooms, including Choine and Ainarda, and put them into the computer files, but when I go in game, they aren't available for hatching/injecting. Could anyone maybe help me figure out how to fix it?
Thanks! |

Are you using C3, DS, or C3DS docked? Where did you put the .agent files exactly?
What version of C3 or DS are you using/where did you get them?

If you're using one of the newer versions of C3/DS, have you installed the Creatures Remastered Patch? Also, do you recall which directory you downloaded the files to? They should go in your My Agents folder, but there are sometimes multiple places on your system. Check the C : drive, along with My Documents, if you think they might be split up. With the GOG.com installation, the standard is to install some files in the different directories.
Hopefully you have things sorted out soon!
(One quick note about Ainarda: Last I checked, this was a manual installation process that required placing files in different locations. This installation is probably more complicated, until an update is released.)

I have C3 and DS and some of the worlds are docked while others aren't; I tried the rooms and breeds in both.
I don't know what you mean by 'versions' since I haven't kept up with the updates, but the box for C3 says 'Exodus' if that helps, and I downloaded DS when the original server was still running.
I put the files for the breeds and Chione into the 'my agents' folder in DS program files, though Ainarda did confuse me, and if someone could tell me where all those little files go, that would be great. I got most of them, but some of them stumped me. |

Those files need to be injected manually using a development tool called the CAOS Tool... if you're just getting started with new agents I'd set them aside for now, as that's a bit of a complicated process. I'm still working on packaging a more user-friendly version, but I've been delayed a bit by real life events.
Jessica is correct that you might need to look in multiple places. Exodus (or at least some versions of it) has a separate folder inside My Documents in addition to the one in Program Files. Also, Exodus includes its own version of Docking Station, so if you downloaded DS separately your setup may be extra squirrely.
But I agree that your first step should definitely be to install the Remastered Patch, if you haven't already. It can solve a lot of different problems, including the one you're describing.

Thanks. Could you tell me where to find the patch? |

I uploaded a slightly newer version of the world that ghosthande put together for now. It is not the fixed up world that will be released later but you still might have an easier time with this new download. It does not include many items though you can still inject some cos files from the ainarda agents download. Once again just to be clear a better and more user friendly version of the world is coming. This is only a slightly updated download.

No, that was intended to be the finished world; the agents will have to come in be injected separately, to keep a handle on filesize, since (like KT or Devil's Reef) it's too big to inject everything all at once. But unless there's something specific you want to change about the metaroom itself, you can consider that agent finished.
