Help Forum genetic kit installation problem    magpie-angel        1/26/2013 i downloaded it from the links given on the creatures wiki and it was all well and good until i actually tried to install it and it installed fraps instead :s i'm not sure what happened if i'm totally honest or why all i can ask is if this has happened to people before? is there anyone else that hosts the genetics kit at all or somebody that can pass me their program   Jessica     1/26/2013 That sounds strange! Which Genetics Kit are you looking for? Each game has its own separate one. You should be able to find them all on the list of Gameware Downloads. I'm pretty sure the following file names are the correct ones for each version: C1: C1_Gen_Kit.exe C2: C2_Genetics_Kit.exe C3/DS: C3_DS_GK_1_16_4.exe Then there's the license key and all that... I'm pretty sure you're after the C3 Genetics kit, so you should be able to find that official information Here. Good luck! Discover Albia   magpie-angel     1/26/2013 thats the thing i did download it from the website of gameware and it should be C3/DS: C3_DS_GK_1_16_4.exe but instead it installs fraps and then leaves a screen up saying a blanked out install, about and cancel   Lollipop Lord C-Rex     1/26/2013 I had the Fraps problem too. Have you tried removing the Fraps setup file from the same directory that contains the Genetics Kit?   magpie-angel     1/26/2013 i don't have the setup file for that anymore but did you get rid of yours and it worked after that?   Jessica     1/26/2013 That might work... I once had my laptop literally die because a PDF I tried to download had a crazy file name that my laptop tried to decipher as a process. That was a nightmare! I'm not sure if it's helpful, but sometimes when your computer downloads a file with the same name, it saves the new one with the extension -1. So possibly you should be looking to run C3_DS_GK_1_16_4-1.exe. But technical stuff is not my thing. I'm just blabbering on here!
