Help Forum Hopelessly lost on blog making.    Wee Scrivener Trell        1/25/2013 Pathetic, right? I've never made a blog before, I have no idea what to do, where to go, or anything of the sort. I feel as though I've gotten OHSS. I really do feel like hitting my head on a wall at the moment. Who knew modern technology could be so frustrating? Anyway, I digress. You guys certainly know what you're doing, mind helping out a blog challenged oddity? Trell "Holy crap in a casket!"   Jessica     1/25/2013 No worries, LilyNorn! Getting into blogging can be a little daunting at first, especially with all of the customization options and the big question of what to blog about. Have you chosen a service yet? I highly recommend either Blogger or Wordpress. I'm more familiar with the former, though I can't really say anything bad about Wordpress. There are other services available, but I would recommend either of these two to begin with. Are you stuck on customization and/or technical stuff? Or are you looking more for guidance on what to write about? I think I've said it many times, but my biggest piece of advice to potential bloggers is to simply blog about what you enjoy! If you're not having fun with it, then it can make Creatures feel more like work than an actual hobby. If you end up going with Blogger, I would be happy to help you out with customization/layout options and all that. Sometimes that helps to open up time to actually focus on the content! Trell "Holy crap in a casket!"   Jessica     1/25/2013 Blogspot is tied in with Google: I believe you need a Google account in order to sign-up, or to at least tie in the service with your Google account. You might want to check out this article for some more information about getting started. You should also find more helpful information about Blogger from the other links. I hope it helps you out!
