Help Forum spriting and coding help    magpie-angel        1/25/2013 so i want to get into make agents and maybe one day breeds for creatures docking station so i thought i'd go by the tutorial on the resources page buuuut the programs needed i can't seem to get anymore so is there anywhere else i can find them all?   Jessica     1/25/2013 Which tutorial are you using? If it's the one with links to the Creatures Development Network site, the download links on the site are incorrect: They point to a .co.uk domain, but if you change the download link to the .com domain, you should be able to download programs like PRAY Builder and the Creatures 3 CAOS Tool. If there are other programs you're looking for, feel free to post a list: I'm sure others would be happy to help you out in finding the same program(s) or alternatives! If so, have you tried the Remastered Patch? It should fix things, but if it doesn't, could you tell us a bit more about what you're working with, including your OS, version of DS, and the exact text of any errors you're getting? Technically, you can develop without the CAOS tool, but it's a huge help if you can get it to work. Are there any specific ideas you have for things you want to develop? I would love you help you along, so if you have any questions regarding CAOS itself, do not hesitate to bother me <: [Naturing :: Nurturing]   magpie-angel     1/25/2013 just did the remastered patch so i'll check how things are in the morning since its 2.45am here at the moment. i sorta just want to take part in the community more, create new things for our norns, grendels and ettins to eat or things to make it a little easier and then one when i have enough experience i really want to make my own breeds. its going to be a lot of work but with practice it will get a little easier. it would be nice to be able to add to garden box too while i'm at it although i should probably get it working on my own game first as for the error i keep getting "Cprogram Files\GOG.com\creatures Exodus\docking station\caos.syntax this file does not exist or is not compatiable with this version of CAOS. You need the right version of the engine for the right version of CAOS." so i just move the box out the way and start a new file on the program and as soon as i start to enter code it crashes. none of the stand alone programs ever worked with exodus either i could never get it to all connect it was as if they were oblivious to each other. if that remastered patch works though it will be amazing because it would mean i could get the other programs to work so i don't have to keep asking jessica to look at my strange norns   Caves Dweller Rascii Administrator     1/25/2013 Don't forget to apply for a script reservation once you get the ball rolling. - Rascii   magpie-angel     1/26/2013 what is the script reservation actually for? i read through the guidelines but i don't really understand what they are about   Malkin Manager     1/26/2013 When people make different agents with the same class number (e.g. a donut vendor with the class number 2 10 65 and a water vendor with the class number 2 10 65) strange things can happen.... Reserving class numbers in C3/DS, because there's so many of them, makes sure that no one else will inadvertently use the same number as you.
