Here's the story:
Today I decided I wanted to 'clean up' my DS worlds by deleting the old ones and replacing them with new ones. I was able to create the new worlds, but every time I try to load one I get a CosInstaller::ShowError pop-up message that is followed by many many others if I click on the Continue button.
Here's one:
C Program Files\Gameware Development\Creatures Exodus\Creatures 3\Bootstrap\001 World\Norn Egg layer.cos
SharedGallery: oCreateGallery
The following sprite gallery was not found:

Now, a few weeks ago I added a whole bunch of agents and downloads and such, but they've been working ever since as far as I can tell. I must've uninstalled & reinstalled the game today at least 4 times but it's still not working...anyone have any suggestions? Now I only have 1 DS world to work with =(
I'm at wit's end, please, someone help! |

Ahhh, this is probably an Exodus issue, I can already see.
I can't fix it, but no worries -- I have no doubt someone here can. Something about a folder mix-up, I'm sure.
Don't care; I'm a bear. |

I fixed it, turns out it was caused by some third-party quirky cookie catalogue files. Thanks anyway! |

I've read somewhere (Naturing :: Nuturing, I think?) that most catalogue file issues can be fixed by installing Exodus into your My Documents folder and it's worked for me.
Maybe give that a try?
EDIT:
I should add that you should be able to simply copy over the folder but it would be easier to install again because you have to edit the machine.cfg file as well if you copy.

Thanks but I just found out that it was a grendel breed causing it along with a really old agent. It's fixed now. I'll keep that in mind if it comes back! |
