Gaius making the game crash

I had a question about Gaius. I downloaded Gaius yesterday, along with the two vendors with the caterpillar and flower. I started a docked world with the two pre-trained chichis. I then hatched two male and two female Gaius. They seemed to work okay for the first 10 minutes, then I took the two vendors and hatched a few caterpillars and the flowers around them. At this point, the game crashed, with a very long error in the error box. I was unable to even play the game again on other worlds until I deleted that world.

I'm confused as to why geats have a tendency to crash so much. Also, has anyone been able to get Gaius to work? I have Gaia installed and can't get it to work more than one time, I have to delete the world.

If anyone has any tips on getting Gaius to work I would appreciate it. It seems like a good idea. I'm also wondering if the veindors of the caterpillar and flower could be buggy and maybe if I not download those it will work? Does anyone have any ideas?

Sure you installed all the required files? Bibble and voices are extremely important. Without those, the game is pretty likely to crash a lot.

Yes, Gaius works for most people. I second what Papriko said--if you are having Geat problems then make sure you've followed the instructions completely. Gaius does come with all the files you should need, but you have to read the readme first so you know what to do with them. Just dumping them all in could cause issues--especially if you have GAIA already.

Also, copy-pasting the error here may help. You're right that it wasn't necessarily the Geats; someone else has already reported an issue with the caterpillars, though actual crashing wasn't involved--it just gave them a dependency error. Without actually seeing the error message, though, there's no way for us to ascertain what caused it.

Thanks, I'll try playing it again tonight or tomorrow and I'll copy and paste the error message if I get one.
