I'm playing DS standalone right now with Biodome. I have maybe 20 creatures in the room and in certain parts, they will just disappear. They don't die (there's no death icon), they're just imply gone. Anyone know what the problem is? It's really getting frustrating. :\

Update: It seems that the Dustdevil grendels are the main ones disappearing. I'm not sure if norns are as well.

When you say "in certain locations," where do you mean?

Additionally, can you turn off autokill and see if there's an error message or anything to that effect?

I would have described the locations, but I'm not really sure how. The last location they disappeared from was the topmost left area. Previously they were in the room that's, I think, two floors below surface which consists of two rooms adjoined whereby you can change the left and right side backgrounds, but they're still one room.

I had one male Dustdevil in that underground room, and it disappeared (I thought maybe it was due to the magic skull agent) but then I hatched two more and put them at the top left area, and they both disappeared also. Could it be something to do with the breed?

How do I turn off autokill? I'm basically a newb these days when it comes to playing the games, since they haven't been able to run on my Apple computer in years. >< By the way, I don't get any errors. The room runs smoothly other than these disappearing grendels.

You can turn off Autokill by pushing Ctrl-Shift-A - this should give you some readable errors, if you're playing it on a PC.
