I want to install it and it just brings up a dialogue box saying
"Error 0 running comman setup.exe" |

Have you tried using an XP compatibility mode on your computer? I trust you're running things as an admin user?

Professor Google implies that this might be that the GK is a 32-bit program, and you're trying to run it on a 64-bit computer. I'm not sure what the solution would be - there might be a 32-bit emulator out there that you could try, like DOSBox, but I couldn't guide you as to how to use the GK with DOSBox.

Tried to run it with DOSBox. Nothing doing, thanks for the suggestions though. |

Are you sure you're really running as an admin user? "Run as admin" doesn't always work, you may have to run specifically under an account with admin privileges. Shift+right click, then select "run as different user" and input the credentials for an admin account.
If your account was an admin one to begin with, disregard this. |

Tried this, no joy. I've about given up by now though. |

Have you tried any unofficial tools? "Genetics Editor", "Genetics Lab" and LiveGMS may be worth trying.
