Andrea Di Stefano has let slip on the C4 forums that one of the major inspirations for the C4 Science Kit will be the C2 Science Kit, and there will be a basic Science Kit and an Advanced Science Kit (possibly a post-release release).
I've never played C2, and the C2 manual is a bit vague for my liking. Could someone who's played C2 tell me what does the C2 Science Kit cover, how does it present things?

It's a little bit like the Creatures 1 science kit, but with more detailed information. For example, the genetics page gives a list of all individual genes as well as the moniker and number of genes, and the chemical injections page allows for injection of any chemicals, provided you have the advanced power-up. There is an organ page that allows you to monitor the health of organs, showing a bar with health percentage, and the biochemistry graphing page (which from memory is more or less the same as C1.) |

I would say that C2 is the game that I played the most and enjoyed the most. It's the game that really got me into the series.
The C2 science kit is actually the only one that I used regularly. I remember when my norns were drowning I could sometimes rehabilitate them by injecting them with stuff. I don't really remember the details of the kit though.
Actually, the fact that the C4 team is basing stuff on C2 is really impressing to me. It means that they really took the time to go through each of the games and figure out which aspects could best be incorporated into the new game.
I'll officially stop complaining about delays. ![[devil] [devil]](/images/smilies/devil.gif)
