So the title is a b_i_t childish but that's essentially what this boils down to.
The truth is. Um...I need some help. I'm trying to turn my dream of making agents for the CCSF into a reality. Despite reading several tutorials and learning the general process of what you do to make sprites and use them, I still have some questions about the whole process.
For instance, I came across this on the CDN:
"The Sprite Builder does not come with any image editing tools, but you can use cut and paste to create a sprite file from *any* image you may have ... whether it is something you've created yourself or have scanned in. Simply open your images in your favourite paint package and copy them across to the Sprite Builder."
So, does this mean I can use my hand drawn images that I scan into the PC and open in GIMP?
I was originally planning to draw and colour all the sprites in the GIMP program but a slippery mouse and lack of confidence when trying to colour my original scanned updated version has pushed me in the other direction.
Is it possible that I can colour them by hand, scan them in and use them that way?
Anyone with any experience in making sprites, please help. Apologies for the lack of knowledge. I won't know how to make them unless I try!
Also, I know time is short but it's better to try than to give up.

We have had a couple releases that were hand-drawn in the past, like the Scribble Metaroom or Officer-1BDI's Shee plushie, so your agent will be in good company!

Oh yes, I love that Shee plushie. It's one of my favourire toy agents and I often give it to my baby Norns to play with. I never realised it was hand drawn.
I was worried that hand drawn sprites would not be preferred or well received by most players. However, the Scribble room and the Shee plushie gives me confidence. Thanks Ghosthande.
I'll still be looking into how to make agents using other methods.
