I'm embarrassed to say I've never done this before, but I have no idea how to post images that I have taken of my creatures in DS/C3. I want to upload one of my norns to the downloads section, but I can't seem to find in what file the images are located.
I want to create a C3 breed someday..

Easiest way to do it is to use the C3 Creature Picture Extractor at TCR. Choose the norn in question from your My Creatures folder, choose if you want them as PNG, JPEG or GIF, and send them for processing. It doesn't upload the norn to TCR, just extracts the images automatically.

I know this is a question for pictures for uploaded Norns to the adoption section, but if you also want to take pictures for a blog or anything, you could try my simple method.
Open your game and then MS Paint.
Take a screen shot of the game while it's open or paused and open on your screen. Usually this is done by pressing the Print Screen button on your keyboard (I have to press the FN key and then the PRTSC button).
Paste the screenshot into the open MS Paint window. CTRL+V works for this.
Use MS Paint's crop tool to cut out bits of the screenshot that you want. (Pictures of your Norns, a whole scene, a little bit...any parts!) Crop...right click...cut or copy.
Then you open a new window in MS Paint (don't save the original shot with holes cut out of it) and make sure to have the white backdrop of MS Paint dragged small, to a little square or something. You can scroll right to the bottom right corner and grab the arrow in the corner to drag the background smaller.
Paste the clipped out pic that you've cropped from the main screenshot into this new MS Paint window. The picture will adjust exactly to fit over the white background so you don't get white edges around it.
Save as....choose a location to save it where you can find it easily. Numbering or labelling your pics as you take them is a great idea to keep them in order.
Voila! You then can upload them to your Blog. Easy.
Well, if using Blogger, where you just click browse...upload...and choose to paste them straight in from where you saved them, it's easy.
Just like that. Simple, probably flawed. But it works for me.

Yeah, I usually just take a screenshot and then crop the image to suit my needs. Don't forget, the recommended image size for creatures in the downloads section is 120 x 150 and images must be in a .jpg format.
