I decided to start with a fresh world this evening, so I exported all of my norns that made the cut. Since I had been running the game all day, I exited out completely to give it a bit of a rest. Only a few minutes, though. I just tried to open my game and am now getting a message that I have "insufficient memory", and when I choose to proceed anyway, it tells me that I must run the game in 16-bit. I don't understand how that happened from me turning the game off, getting a glass of water, sitting back down and starting it up, but it did. I really don't want to have to change my graphics display every time I want to play, so I was hoping someone would have a work-around for this or at least know what the heck I'm talking about. Until then, I'm locked out. I just downloaded a cute little gizmo "Tim" from the adoption page, too, and I want to check him out! Help please.  I want to create a C3 breed someday.. Formally defectiveminx. |

Yeah, I actually read that post before creating a new topic, and I know that's not the issue. Like I said, I changed nothing to my computer between usages. I may go to bed now and try to figure this out tomorrow. My brain is fuzzy. >.< I want to create a C3 breed someday.. Formally defectiveminx. |

Darn, I wish it was an easy fix.  The auto fix method that Marvolo posted seems complex to me, so it might be better tackled when you're fresh.My TCR Norns |

Okay, I'm looking at it again, and there is no longer the "insufficient memory" error, but it still says I need to run the game in 16-bit. I've always played it in full-screen mode, so I'm not sure why it's doing this now. Have I always played in 16-bit before without realizing it? For those that have Windows 7, do you have to play in 16-bit or is there a work-around? I just don't understand this at all. All I want is to see my little guys. =( EDIT: I figured it out! Guess I just wasn't searching for the right terms on Google. The forum here on Gog.com explains how to fix this error without changing your display settings. You just need to alter the "fullscreen" option from "0" to "1" in the user.cfg file. I hope this helps anyone else who has come across this problem! I want to create a C3 breed someday..
