So I fianlly logged on to this thing
And I tried to register Docking Station, but something tells me that e-mails not gonna come. D:
Does it come eventually or will I have to use a public account of some sort?
Edit I have been having problems injecting some agents. It gives me a dependency error, whatever that is. The agents that give me this problem are Magic Words Aura, Ghosthande's caterpillars, and the Playful Gnarlers. |

Unfortunately, DS registrations have been down for quite some time. There is an offline option available with C1toDS, or you can also use the standalone offline option available at the Creatures Docking Station web site. Good luck!

Okay it told me to download an unnamed patch and now the download won't finish! What do I do?!
And I wonder if it'll even work on Windows 7? |

The unnamed patch is known for causing issues. Do you know where you're running the game from? It typically defaults to installblast.exe, but if you change this to engine.exe, you should be all set! I know that Creatures Exodus from GOG.com works with Windows 7... I haven't had any issues with it. Hopefully this helps you out!

No, the file on the desktop just says Creatures Docking Station. And when installing the program it did say something like Creatures Install Blast... how do I change it to engine.exe? |

Right-click the icon and choose "Properties." There should be a space for the target, which should include the following, or something similar:
C: \Program Files\GOG.com\Creatures Exodus\Docking Station\installblast.exe
Change the installblast.exe to engine.exe, and you should be all set! Let me know if you need any other help!

Hooray it works! Now how do I install the patch so I can play offline? |

The readme file included with the DS Offline Option (linked to above) should include all the instructions you need. It's not exactly a patch: Two files are used to add the offline option to the game. Good luck!

Would there be a way to set up a fan server or something where people could register and get online outside of Gamware's servers? Like a CC server? |

Yeah, on the Docking Station website (not the official one!) there was a guest account but someone changed the password.... |

I didn't actually mean an account to the old server, but a server made and hosted by the Creatures Community, where people could register new accounts and get online with their worlds, chat and send creatures to others who joined the same server.
Would it be possible, and what would be required? |

I have Windows 7 Home Edition and have only had minor problems using DS 1.95 on this machine. When I installed it and whenever I start it up, it offers to check for an update but this causes the program to abort...so the simplest solution is simply clicking "no" whenever the program asks me if I want to install an update. The software then takes me to the opening menu where I'm asked to choose which of the worlds I've created should be loaded. Since I have the offline patch installed, I'm then taken straight to the darling little virtual furbabies. |
