Fever Toxin? (C3/DS)

Well, I'm having problems dealing with fever toxin. Quite a few of my creatures have died because of it in an undocked world with C12DS. Whenever I check a creature that has it, there is no bacteria on them. I think creatures may be getting it from the C12DS bees. Also, the hoverdock says there is no cure for fever toxin. Is there a way to prevent deaths from fever toxin?

Amaikokonut suggests feeding them detritus here, but also trying to keep their levels of water up would be an idea. There might be some cooling agents out there that work on the creature, rather than the CA, so they might help too.

I don't know if it would help or not but, Grendel Man made an plant called the Iceflower, & every part of the plant either gives off cold, or reduces heat. Would that maybe help a little with the fever toxin?

Fever Toxin causes health problems for two reasons:

Firstly, it uses up water. Hotness & Water cancel out, and I believe Fever Toxin directly removes water too. Water is essential to life, so this is not good.

Secondly, high levels of most drives, including Hotness, cause stress chemicals which damage organs over time. Depending on which organ gets affected, this can be really bad for the norn.

So, giving them water and keeping them cold can help a norn with Fever Toxin.

What gives norns water, by the way?

By the way, I don't care if anyone steals my ideas for their own work, as long as you don't try to stop me from making my own stuff. Many ideas I mention are things I don't have the time or skill to actually do.

Looking at the gene compare here, it's a byproduct of some of the excretory systems, it seems, and norns have a full concentration of water at birth.

There's a gene, oddly enough, in the Lung organ, which converts dissolved carbon dioxide into water. There's a gene in the kidney/bladder organs which converts ammonia and dissolved carbon dioxide into urea and water.

This also means that if the lung and the kidneys fail... the norn won't make its own water.. :( They don't seem to get water from any foodstuff, either.
