Creatures Playground-Odd Stuff

First of all, in Creatures Playground (this can't happen on Creatures Adventures stand alone) at least once in a norn's life, this freaky mechanical thing that resembles one of those dryers on beauty salon chairs flies down on a propeller and takes the norn's hair away! I know you can get it back in the lab, but it is annoying and just plain creepy. Because of that alone, I sometimes prefer Creatures Adventures by itself.

Also, a glitch (I think) allowed me to lead the cave norn with the hand. It was also able to get sick, but I couldn't take it to the medical cart. Even more, it eventually died of old age. Since it wasn't listed in one of those bubbles you use to select norns, its body stayed in the same place until I clicked on the skeleton in the cave and got another (unselectable) cave norn. I also remember eventually being able to lead the alien by the hand and it as well dying of old age.

Does this happen to other people, or is my game just messed up?

Creatures Playground indeed have quite many glitches.

The most annoying one I had was actuly lab related - when making a norn into a flying kite, and somehow she flyed away (I cant exact recall how this happend) but I remember I was unable to catch her and appeared in the garden - allways doomed to be a flying kite..

I know I had more glitches, but can't think of them right now ^^'

I do know the Cave norn (grendel) and the Alein (ettin) is not selectable, but I can't recall if they are grab-able or not,I have my memory that theyre not,as you said, but there is sometimes allowing it to do so.

You could try my cave norn pack, hatch own cave norns straight from the egg,or use the edited genom in that same pack to make selectable cave norns..
It's on my site:
https://sites.google.com/site/norngirlstemporarystorageplace/Home

(might someday do something similar for the aliens, even thought theyre not realy my fav,but still - it would sort of feel bit more complete)

as for the hair taker thing,it's normal, and Im not sure if it's meant to be around just for getting a chance to give a new hairdo (wich IS silly, because thats a thing you can do anytime!) or chance to have hairless norn..hmm

I do think that you can remove it by the cosfile - but it will only take effect on new created worlds..

If interessted to give it a try, look Creatures playground (or Creatures village) for bootstrap, 002 Playground and then look for the file "Hair Grabber" - Im quite positive that is the annoying thing .
from there, put that file anywhere you like, but you could also make a folder named backup in the 002 Playground folder and put it there,or even delete it (but meh, just stick the file anywhere but not the 002 Playground folder is enough to make it never appear ingame - of the new worlds, that is)

hope that helps :3

The thing that steals norn hair is in "worldgrabber.cos." I hate that thing too; it wouldn't be so bad if there was some way to ward it off before someone got bald.

I've also been able to lead the Cave Norn and Alien around with the hand. It might be a glitch, but I've been able to do it fairly consistently, so I'm not sure.

The hair grabber is really obnoxious. I really don't know what it's supposed to be for. There aren't any really enlightening comments in its .cos file that would explain its purpose, although it is apparently coded specifically so that it won't take off the spacesuit helmet.

I'm just glad we don't have to worry about that kind of thing in real life. It looks pretty horrific in-game. :P
