Looking at the half-life of the original C3 ettin genome, the half-lives for anger and loneliness are set to 0 - effectively instantaneously decaying. I believe this means that anger and loneliness have no meaning for ettins.
Has anyone observed their ettins struggling with a hoverdoc-measurable level of anger or loneliness?

No, it seems like they're always scared and crowded. I already figured out they didn't feel those drives, I just thought it was a missing receptor. |

If loneliness is perpetually zero I can imagine it helps explain why they're so easily crowded--loneliness and crowdedness are supposed to cancel each other out.
You're right though, can't remember having ever seen a lonely or angry Ettin.
