Hi All,
I am relatively new to c2, but what is up with the Ettin and grendal? Again, inspired by Discover Albia, I decided to use the volcano garden to make a nice place for the grendal to live. I filled it with fruit, carrots, fish, and popping mushrooms, but my grendal is still dying quickly. None of them seem to eat or sleep well, or can find anything to do! I thought grendals took pretty good care of themselves?
My major question is do the ettins and grendals prefer different foods than the norms?
Next, are there toys that they like? |

The Truth about Grendels' volcano FAQ might prove useful.
Are these grendels from before you installed the volcano garden?

Hurray: Another inspiration! I'm glad you like the blog!
I'm not sure if it's related to the volcano, but have you tried out the Canny Ettins and Grendels? These have updated genomes that make them much better at caring for themselves. Here are some helpful links (I hope!):
- Canny Ettins
- Updated Canny Ettins
- Canny Grendels
- Breedable Ettin and Grendel Packs
I don't think either species has different preferences for food or toys: Maybe I'm wrong, though! I've never noticed any differences, yet they easily could exist. Good luck!

The default C2 Ettin genome was very crappy. I don't know if they have a different food preference, but they are even stupider than Norns. The same is true of Grendels to a lesser extent. You should really try the genomes Jessica posted. If you want happier creatures that don't breed, the last page has a download down the very bottom. |
