okay so i had C1 and C2 working a few days ago but now they aren't working. i run windows 7 btw so i thought: great i'll give up on them and i'll run c3 and ds no ds runs fine and i'm very happy with my agents  c3 runs very slowly for some reason it never did that before. i got them all from albian years and exodus.but its not just the games. brain in a vat the biochemistry set and the genetics for c3/ds won't install saying there is a run time error and i don't know what to do :C |

Did you get the games from GoG.com? If not, that may be a reason why it's not working. The games are not really formatted to work on any windows higher than XP. You can either try to figure out how to emulate windows XP on your computer (which I used to do) or buy the GoG (Good old Games) games, which only cost about 3-5 dollars each. Do not upset the ugly worm, lest it be a dragon in disguise. (>oo)> |

actually they are from GoG. what i'm hoping is when creatures 4 comes out there is talk of re-releasing all the previous games as part of a bundle if you preorder so hopefully they will have updated them or people will have trouble with them i got a new computer today anyway and went back to windows vista and i've discovered its windows 7 thats the problem it doesn't like recognising it |

Hmm, I run the GOG versions of The Albian Years and Creatures Exodus on Windows 7 with no problems. I've recommended the GOG versions to anyone with Windows Vista or Windows 7: They seem to work on both. Have you added the remastered patch? I'm not sure if that would be the problem... Could you post the exact error messages you receive? That might help in figuring out exactly what the issue is. |

my old computer ended up dying so a friend let me borrow their computer and they had a fake windows 7 and the computer realised it was fake (i had to get the friend to come round and check it) and he said it was because of this the computer didn't want to install anything so it wasn't anything to do with windows 7 at all really. i'm gonna try to run creatures albian years because i was having problems running c2 on the other machine but this new machine has been perfect so far |
