Hi there, I want to make a new norn breed. However I'm not good at genetics. I can only make colored Norns and immortals. So I was wondering if someone wanted to help me with genetics? I want super fertile multiple egg laying not very hungry Norns. Im debating whether or not they will get old. Anyway any help would be most welcome!

You might like to start here - the official genetics tutorials.
Multiple egg-laying is at least partially controlled by CAOS - Jessica discusses this here on Discover Albia.

Thanks for the link to Discover Albia, Malkin! As stated, egg laying in C3/DS is actually controlled by CAOS commands in-game, rather than by breed. Luckily, it's not too difficult to change these settings. Ylukyun corrected me and let me know that multiple births are possible up to 50 at a time, but I strongly recommend sticking with six or less as a maximum!
I wish I knew more about genetics in C3/DS, but I'm still dabbling in C1. That tutorial is quite awesome: Sometimes all you need are a few resources and some time to tinker about in order to understand genetics some more. That's how I finally understood what dendrites were, along with other things.
Feel free to ask any specific questions, though! I'm sure there are many who would be happy to help you out. Do you already have the C3/DS Genetics Kit installed? Gene Compare is also quite useful, as it allows you to look at the differences between two genomes.
Good luck!

thanks for the help. i can't use the genetics kit due to windows being silly. i can however use the genelab. what i'm currently after to improve my creatures skills is the gimp plugin to read c.16 files. do you know of anyone who might have it? i'm ever so frustrated!!

Perhaps this link is what you're looking for? I've never used GIMP, nor have I tried the download, but it looks like it might be helpful! Let me know if it doesn't work, and I'll try to look elsewhere. Hopefully it's the right one, though!
