First off, I must say that I'm very glad to see Iggdrasil back online. I lurve the C2 cobs, lol.
Anyway, in an unfortunate turn of events, it seems that several of the cobs in question (pretzel, hot tea, strawberry ice cream, just to name a few) have some pretty bizarre stuff going on with their in-game appearances. Here's an example.
They seem to function normally, so it's more of an aesthetic thing, I guess. It should be noted that I'm running C2 on Windows 7 and I have to change it to 16-bit mode to play (the game prompts me before it starts). It should also be noted that the cobs in question have both S16 and S16 (565) image files.
Anyone else had any similar issues?

It looks like Rainbow Spew... but that's a Mac problem.
Actually, it looks more like Green Spew than Rainbow Spew, but I've only ever heard of GS occurring with C3/DS breeds.
What happens if you take out the excess image files? I can't imagine it would need both of them...

Have you tried decompiling the cob with an external program and using the image file you get from the decompilation?
The C2 COBs on Iggdrasil seem to come from a few different sources - which ones are showing up badly?

The Rainbow Spew, as it's called in DS, originated in the 565 vs 555 sprite formats that were used in C2. In fact, it's that exact same file format header problem that causes it in C3/DS. Some .c16 (C3/DS sprite formats) are 555, and some are 565, just like the C2 .s16 sprite files.
It's just much more difficult to identify them due to the CL C3 Sprite Editor having no functionality to differentiate the two.
What you're seeing in C2 is essentially the same thing as the rainbow spew, although it has a much more colorful effect in DS and is also more difficult to correct.
Easy solution should be to try switching sprite files. The 565 version is usually the right one, as it is in C3/DS for Mac users.

Thank you guys very much for your help. I've tried switching the sprite files, but to no avail. These cobs aren't essential for my worlds, of course, they're just nice to have and even better when they look like they're supposed to.
Like I said, thanks and I'll try to decompile the cob(s) and see how it goes.
