I'm not sure what happened. I have a steady population of norns in a world I created 3 or 4 days ago. Everything was going smoothly until about 20 minutes ago when they stopped their normal norn chatter and incessantly expressing, "me love hand" or "creature name] love hand", etc. It was cute for a minute, until I realized it wasn't going to stop and I have no idea how to fix the problem. Anyone have any ideas as to why this may have happened or any suggestions on how I can go about fixing it?

Slap them until they hate you?
Or change the hand's name to "" (blank), so they (hopefully) can't reinforce each other to keep talking about it.

Or change the hand's name to "me", just to see what happens.
Alternatively, kill all the Norns then clone them. |

Ok, so slapping the little buggers didn't make any difference in regards to their feelings towards "the hand", but they have become quite taken with slapping each other. I ended up removing the vocabulizer agent and reinjecting it. "me love..." is still a main part of their vocabulary but thankfully they've gone back to their other chatter as well!

Next time your Norns are out of hand, try taking them swimming in the piranha pool. *evil laugh* |
