getting gen from exported norn

Is there any way other than importing to extract the .gen file from an exported C3/DS creature file? Some kind of program or something?

By the way, I don't care if anyone steals my ideas for their own work, as long as you don't try to stop me from making my own stuff. Many ideas I mention are things I don't have the time or skill to actually do.

I think the PRAY Decompiler on The Creature Repository extracts the genetics too.

Papriko is right. If you run an .exp file through something like REVELATION or the aforementioned PRAY Decompiler, you can get the genome of the exported creature along with a bunch of other stuff.

Do note that the genome in question will have the ending ".GENETICS" or ".genetics" instead of ".gen". However, you can simply change that ending to ".gen" and be able to open the file in a genome editor.

Also note that the Genetics Kit often doesn't like opening genetics files from exported creatures (you'll get something along the lines of "This file is too big to open"

, so you might need another genetics editor to actually look at the file.
