aquatic food

Ettina

OK, in DS, I was trying to do a wolfling run in the Norn Meso with the Meso Flooder (turns the lower level aquatic) and raising gill norns in the bottom part and normal norns in the top part. But one big problem! None of the Norn Meso food sources can grow underwater! There's only the carrot vender, and I've never had a norn population that can use a vender.

Does anyone know some really good aquatic food, fruit and seeds that I could inject so my gill norns don't have to choose between starvation and suffocation? (They may still stupidly decide to explore, but it'll still be an improvement.)

By the way, I don't care if anyone steals my ideas for their own work, as long as you don't try to stop me from making my own stuff. Many ideas I mention are things I don't have the time or skill to actually do.

I know of a few. The Eltanin sponges from Devil's Reef will happily grow in any saltwater and their seeds are edible. The fish from the Biodome are also all edible.

Norngirl's Ordin and Fantazy Grass will also grow underwater, and their seeds are edible.

So you have some critters and seeds there. I can't think of any fruit offhand though, sorry.

I don't think there are many underwater fruits because most aquatic breeds get their protein from critters.

The Grendel Warehouse site has a odd aquatic plant with seashell-shaped fruit that produced bubbles.

Sadly it vanished with the site and I don't remember what it was called.

Actually, I might know of one. The 4-in-1 plant turns into a pineapple plant when placed in freshwater. That depends on whether the meso flooder gives you any freshwater though, as I don't think the plant is saltwater tolerant.
