Docking Station refuses log in

After having many problems with both Creatures 3 and Docking Station, I finally downloaded the Exodus from GOG.com. It seems promising, however I cannot log in and make an online world. I have made InstallBlast into engine.exe like I needed to, and I changed server.cfg to server.cfg2 so I should be able to connect to the new server. I see through Live Nornish Action that people are online- so what's the problem with my game? I have a Windows XP, with the GOG.com Exodus. I also have C12DS installed, but I don't want to give up and make yet another offline world. I really would like to be able to interact with all the other active players, and my Docking Station account has the same name as this one- Lalasa.

Do you already have a username and password? Registrations are down now. The server also seems to be down at the moment, but it should come back up soon.

Yes I do have a log in. I made one years ago before my original Docking Station broke.

I did change my password recently, in order to update my account. Would that be a problem? Does changing a password doom a game?

It shouldn't pose any problem. If you have existing worlds you'd just have to re-enter your password when going online with them.

That's the thing. I should be able to make an online world yet I cannot. Am I just unlucky by always ending up trying to make worlds when the server is down? It just really bothers me that online capabilities are not available to me. That was one of my favorite parts of Docking Station. Did I do something wrong while setting up my Docking Station?

You didn't do anything wrong. I still can't connect! Fairly safe to say the server is down at this point.

Your best bet is probably to download a login disabler so that you can create new worlds without having to login.

I'm not sure that the standalone disabler is still available, but C1toDS does come with its own login disabler built in.

http://www.creaturesdockingstation.com has the current standalone login disabler.

I guess I will have to end up with yet another offline world. Thanks for your help. At least my C12DS has a nice log in disabler. I'm looking forward to getting an online world once the server is up again.

On a side note: I don't know how to add agents to an Exodus Docking Station. I tried looking for an Exodus My Agents, then a Creatures Exodus\Docking Station\My agents . That didn't bring anything up either. Yet this new GOG Exodus does not use the agents in either my Docking Station and Creatures 3 My Agents. Anyone know how to get to the MY Agents folder with an Exodus game? It would help a lot, especially because I could access other folders I need to access if I know where the agents one is.

I haven't got the GOG version, but on my exodus version the My Agents file is located in C:\Program Files\Gameware Development\Creatures Exodus\Docking Station\My Agents or in \Creatures 3\My Agents.

Check your My Documents folder for a Creatures folder.

On that note, you may want to consider reinstalling Exodus to the My Documents folder altogether; odd as it sounds, it can prevent some frustrating catalogue errors later on.

Have you tried logging in with both the old and new passwords? I wouldn't be surprised if the change didn't take.
The server seems to be down right now, but it was certainly working earlier. Here's to hoping it goes up again soon =/

Hope you can get things working!

Thanks to both of you. I tired logging in with both new and old passwords, but neither work right now. I'll probably reinstall like you recommended Amaikokonut. Hopefully the sever will be back soon so I can send LNA some norns. I love what your doing with LNA and I hope you do continue! :D

I just tried adding agents to my game, but they don't even show up on the list when I go in game. I think they're in the right folder, it's the one C-Rex told me to use, And yet the only agents that show up are from the game, and C12DS. How odd. I'll try reinstalling it, I guess. :/

I had my question answered in chat, but I decided to reinstall anyway. Now it won't reinstall at all. It's exactly what happened to previous versions. I guess this means I simply can't play. Any help on why my computer rejects the reinstall would be nice, however this happens so many times I doubt the game will ever work correctly.

My game managed to install again! Yay! But I still have problems...
