I noticed this recently. When I export Norn I can't find it's file when I come in Creatures 2 directory but when I am importing I can import Norn. However I see yellow padlock on file. I thought problem could be with hidden files so I customised Windows Explorer to be egligible to show hidden files but still nothing... I dunno how it happened, but directory of C2 just started to hide .exp files out of blue sky. Any suggestion?

It might be User Account Control if you're using Windows Vista or 7.
If it's not shut off, Vista at least likes hiding files in a hidden folder known as "VirtuaStore." If you use the search function to find this folder, shove anything in it related to Creatures into the appropriate folder in Program Files, and then turn UAC off, the problem should go away.
Then again, I'm 99% sure Windows 7 doesn't do this, so this post will probably be entirely useless if you're using 7 or an OS that isn't Windows. ]:

maybe because its "virtualstore" with an L. it should be located here: C: \Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore |
