Basically, as my computer is wearing out, I'm wondering what the cheapest sort of computer able to run C3DS and it's breeds, agents and rooms is and where I could get one?
Mac for preference, as I already have Creatures Exodus.
Sorry for bugging you guys, but you probably understand this stuff better than I do. |

I'm not sure how inexpensive you want the computer to be, but I'd be surprised if there was any modern Windows OS PC out right now that couldn't run DS. I have no ideas about Macs/Apples, though.
You have to be honest with yourself when you are writing. If that leads to somewhere unexpected then perhaps you really needed to go there.

As the Mac edition of Creatures only works on the now-outmoded powerPC chip (all modern macs are now Intel), you'd be better off looking for a cheap windows machine.

A Windows computer is probably your best option, both in terms of compatibility and price. I have a Mac, but I use Parallels to run Windows 7. Not exactly a cheap option, although I do need it for work-related things. Thank goodness for that! I'm not too sure about brand or model, since the market always seems to be changing. However, a Windows OS is probably a must have. You can always purchase Creatures Exodus from GOG.com for $5.99, which should work on Windows Vista and Windows 7. Good luck!

My Kutoka box reckons it will work on 98, 2000, ME and XP, and the website says it will also work on Vista and Windows 7. So hopefully it might still work? I've never tried installing my Kutoka game on a PC.
