Hello all! I've been interested in getting back into Creatures 1, but I'm running into issues. I have the original Creatures on a PowerPC G4. It can run in Classic environment (probably somewhere around OS 9), but Creatures crashes very quickly and is far too buggy to play. Anyone know of any patches for this? I really want to play the original, although I'm aware that this may not be possible anymore. I've also downloaded C12DS, which works great for a little while. However, it eventually breaks down. There is no noticeable error, but after I've quit, it won't let me back in again. The whole world is lost. Any ideas why this is? I don't have very many other agents installed, and none are injected into the C12DS worlds. Thanks! |

According to Cwiki, this just may be a 'feature' of the original C1-on-Mac program. The 'doesn't give an error message' problem is common with the Kutoka port of Exodus. I should reinstall C12DS and check it out. I'm sorry this is so unhelpful.  My TCR Norns |

That's okay, it's good to know that I shouldn't keep flailing away at the original Creatures! And alas about C12DS, but I will definitely try reinstalling it. Wiimeiser, when I try to reenter the world, it loads completely on the load bar and then crashes. The program quits and my computer informs me that it has unexpectedly quit. Once this happens once, I can't get in again. |

Where did you get your copy of C12DS from? Did you dock the world with C1, or did you inject it as an agent? My TCR Norns |

I downloaded it from the Creatures Wiki link (TreeSprite), and I docked the world with C1. |

I think the Christmas Pack includes some bugfixes - either one will work, it was only C12DS itself that was packaged as an EXE. My TCR Norns |

Hm- unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have helped. Happily I can still play with C1 norns on the Shee Ark, though! That doesn't seem to cause any problems. |
