I was just wondering, is anyone else having issues with Clucky's physics adapter in GOG.com's C3? It never works, and I get an error message when I click on it.

Have you given the Remastered Patch a whirl? |

No, I have not. I would like to, but I don't know how to install it. :p

Download it, extract it and then just run the Remastered Patch.exe. It should do the rest for you. |

Thanks, but I don't believe it worked.
Just for clarification purposes, I downloaded the agent and put the .AGENT file in the right place. The agent itself does inject, but when I press one of the buttons, it makes the right sound but disappears. None of the text that is supposed to be on the agent is, and if I don't disable autokill first, the creator machine disappears completely.

Seems like an issue with the .Catalogue files. Normally the agent unpacks these upon injection.
I think that with the GOG version the agent doesn't find the right place to put them. :/

Hmm. Intriguing. :/ Have there been any developments when it comes to fixing this issue? I take it that other agents have caused this problem, too.

I wish I knew. I personally don't own the GOG versions of the creatures games, so I can't check.
The text on the agent going missing is typical for missing .catalogue files though. They're often used to store text in.
Perhaps someone who has the agent can send the .catalogue files to you?

Often if the .catalogue file is missing, it's because it was unpackaged in the My Documents folder or some subfolder therein. Try looking there, if you can find it you can just plunk it into the Creatures 3/Catalogue folder manually.

Aah! I put the catalogue file in the right folder and it works like a dream! Thank you both. And thanks, Laura, for telling me about the patch!

For the record, the remastered patch does NOT fix the catalogue issue. Every single new agent you inject will get its catalogue file put in the (My) Documents folder, and will have to be moved. This is a problem with all varieties of Exodus. |
