As mentioned in the CA topic,
I am recording all creature games music and is going to put them up on youtube as well release a mp3 pack of them..
I succesefully done it with C1,is halfway trough with C3
(maybe DS will probably be recorded too),next up will
be CA-CP (when Im able to acces my win ME,there is my originals installed)
Now to my problem:
I did go first with recording C2's beutifull music, and that was a task I thought would be easy - yet time consuming.
The plan was to reduce All sound wavs inside my c2 sound folder(s)
(folders - as I have both original c2 and albian years installed on it) and so,I would be able to just hear the beutifull music and no annoying sound effects.
Before starting - I made a original backup of the original sounds.
I took my time and go trough the files, make sure no sound file slipped trough and after a long time of work,I packed them.
I extracted my no sound pack over both sound folders and started the game - everything was silent, everything! except..
a annoying bzz sound (Thankfully not too loud, still quite annoying) ..this bzz sound is NOT when recording,It IS
inside from the game.
The bzz sound is the one you hear from the hatchery teleporter,
and funny fact is - dosn't mather where I scroll around or place my creatures around,it follows me - everywhere - ruin my music recording. Also - This bzz sound
stops when pausing or simply exit the game - so thats proof that it's from c2, and also, this sound do you recognize from the game anyway. I been trying to carefuly chek again if I missed it, Starting a new world - I also gave it to razgriz to help me out and see if he also get the bzz sound still if
he burrows my pack - yet the Bzz is heard and I tried to find the wav,it's like gone with the wind >_>
A thing to point out: when uncheking ambient music -
it still go bzz,so yes,it is not included with the music..
Another note: Im not going to use the MNG player/MNGEdit tools,
as they simply need some work to make it sound like ingame,
and rather want to record it straight from the C2 game, thanks.
I still have my first atempt with my C2 mp3's..wich some have the bzz sounding not so loud, while on others it may be more noteable..
I think Im going insane here >-<
Please, can anyone help me and tell me what am I doing wrong?
If someone is curious to chek my
silent pack, I can upload it and link here,if that helps.
Is that a good idea, you think?
The only sounds I left out was the third party agents (wich I know only play if I inject them)
Thanks In advance |
