Help Forum C1 from GOG.com help    Pyromaniac605      12/22/2010 I've recently bought Creatures The Albian Years from gog.com, but I've been having some problems. I can't seem to install any of the official packs from CL, I run them and they say that they can't find a copy of Creatures installed, any ideas of what I can do? I can't even install the Object Injector. Darren Edit: The Object Injector was already installed, it didn't activate until I hatched a Norn, but I still need help with the packs. I'm very pleased that GOG made the series available in an updated format... Getting C1 working on a newer operating system is quite involved, and C2 simply won't work past Windows XP. I hope you enjoy it as much as many of us do! It's nice that all of the updates and packs come with the download, too! I don't think it's made explicitly clear on the GOG site, although it's a very nice surprise. I know that C2 comes with a lot of extras that I don't even remember. Hopefully some more people are looking into taking advantage of the special holiday deal! I want to explore the huge map with out continually having to get my norn to go where I want, and possibly endangering them. Darren Albia Volcanis -Updated 23/2   Jessica     12/22/2010 Great question, Darren! I plan on making a tutorial about precisely this topic. Basically, you need to make use of the Favorite Places function in the game. With the correct placement, you can have access to every part of Albia without needing a Norn around! Here are a few basic steps that will hopefully help you out: 1.) Scroll as far to the right side of the screen as you can, and make this a new Favorite Place. 2.) Scroll as far to the left side of the screen as you can, and then choose the Favorite Place you just created. 3.) You should now be able to scroll even further to the right than before. You can use this same process for scrolling up and down. 4.) Repeat this process until you have a total of six Favorite Places, remembering that the Incubator location can not be removed. You can remove Favorite Places in the process. 5.) My recommended Favorite Places in addition to the Incubator are the Garden, the Temple, the Docks, the Island, and the Settlement. I hope this helps you out! I'll eventually have a more detailed tutorial complete with pictures that should be more descriptive. It's pretty much a matter of taking advantage of the scrolling and Favorite Places features. Good luck! UPDATE I also found a COB that helps out with this process in a much quicker and cleaner fashion. Download the Tickets for the Hand created by Slink and hosted at Geatville. Darren Albia Volcanis -Updated 23/2   Jessica     12/22/2010 In Creatures 2, there is an official agent called the Game State Controller that allows you to activate all of the power-ups without the help of a Norn. You should be able to find this in the Injection Kit. Just keep clicking on the icons and clicking the red button to change it to green, which means that it is activated.
