My guide is here. What do you think?
Any idea for the sound problem?

Seems okay.
Some suggestions:
you can use getlibs (for free available and easy to find when you google it) to install the requirements of DS without adding the old sources to Synaptic.
Gedit also can be run directly with "gedit" or (when you need it as root) "sudo gedit".
"dockingstation nocheck" never worked by me and I tried on different Ubuntu versions. Some people might fail by this point. You could add as troubleshooting "/usr/local/games/dstation-install nocheck". It is longer, but will work for sure.

Just an addition:
Docking Station never worked for me at the 64-bit version of Ubuntu, also when having compatibility stuff.

There used to be a similar guide on CTopia, but apparently the most of it got lost.
I could write down another one if you'd like to, though it might have a few gaps inside...

That'd be very helpful, Papriko, thank you for offering!
