Uh, I don't know how to make a deb package acutally. My suggestion was it to install getlibs and then let it run once over the list of required libs for DS. Then you can use the normal install. It actually is easy. Download the Tarball archive, run the script, in case it says something about bad trap run a second time and then start your game. Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis... |

Actually it also installs them. Did you use it with the option -l ? EDIT:
