Alright, I'm having problems getting Docking Station to work on Windows 7. And i have to run it in compatibility mode for 95/98 or it tells me to change my display settings.
When i try to play it, it gives me this message:
NLE0002: The following directory doesn't exist:
.\
Make sure the configuration file entry is correct!
Windows 95/98 4.10 build 2222 ()
OriginalDisplay DirectX (no modules)

I don't know what this means and I have no idea how to fix it. Help please? |

Don't run it in compatibility mode.
You HAVE to change the display settings like it asks.
Right click on the Desktop -> Screen Resolution -> Advanced Settings -> Monitor (tab) -> select High Color (16bit) from the drop-down menu, click OK, and Apply. And if it prompts you about keeping those settings, say, "yes" or "ok" or whatever affirms the action.
Play Docking Station. |

I tried that, and it still works the same way. It still gives me that error. |

The error shows signs of a account without any administrator privileges (restricted account), because it doesn't confirm you for administrative actions and it can't access the Program Files folder. The original Docking Station stores its information in the global program files folder instead of your personal user folder.
Use the administrator account on that computer to play the game or enter the credentials at Right Click -> Run as Administrator.
If you aren't the owner of the computer you can ask the real owner to convert the account to administrator for you.
A other solution is to buy the remastered versions from GOG.com which writes in your personal folder = no system administrator privileges required.

Thank you so much. I am the Admin of my computer, but because I have Windows 7, i still have problems with administiration. All i had to do was reinstall it into a non program files are, like my documents.
Thank you for pointing it out for me |

Hmm, I'm on Windows 7 and I've never had that problem. Odd. *shrugs* Glad you fixed it though! |

Installing the whole thing into a user folder is actually a pretty good idea for newer Windows versions. Though not if there are multiple users who want to play it. It might make a nice note in some guide somewhere. |
