I have just registered a free domain with CO.CC, but I am having trouble managing it.
Firstly, it is asking me to input a name server. What the heck is a name server?
Next, it is asking me about zone records. What is a zone record, exactly?
Finally, it is asking me about URL forwarding. What is this? |

First of all, you need to have a host where you can set up your domain. There aren't much free hosts out there that support that. So I think you'll have a dead end.
A name server is a computer-program that will take care about your domain and that your guest will be viewing the right site/server that belongs to that domain.
If you have a paid host you'll get a pair of name server addresses, most name server are on the same server as the web server. You'll need to fill these addresses at your domain registrar (In this case CO.CC).
Because you're using Freewebs I think you'must use a simple forward that links to your original address.
