Help Forum My creatures DISAPPEARED!!    ettinlogic      7/9/2010 Ugggghhhh!!! I was playing C3 in a world where I had injected the "Gaia" agent and Grendel Warehouse's "Lavaball #6" agent, and something wierd happened. First, I'd injected 2 lavaballs into my world and activated them to see what they did, then decided to remove it with the Creator machine's remove button. Well, it dissappeared, as it should have. But then Gaia, all of a sudden, said "Gaia push machinery" and was GONE! The HUD had no creatures on it, nor did the Creatures panel (I had 4 Norns and Grendel that SHOULD have been there) and...I went back to the Norn Terrarium and there was a lavaball sitting by the fav place icon. I hadn't put it there. This is wierd...*crys for lost norns D:* Anyone know what the heck happened here?? Life is like a bowl of Ettins   Norngirl     7/9/2010 all i know is,when Gaia is around,strange (and sometimes not very enjoyable) things happends ^^' I don't use Gaia anymore after some few strangeness experience of my own ^^' Still,I know this dosn't help you much,and there is really nothing I can say that may help you with it,since I haven't had just this exact experience : ( I hope someone is able to help you ^^' All im saying is,Gaia is unpredictable ^^'   Malkin Manager     7/9/2010 Sometimes, if you're quick, you can use 'quit' in the caos command line, and it quits without saving, thus preserving any norns that were in the last save for a quick export. I like using Mark Ashton's bulk export cos for this. How old was your world? What other updates did you have in it? My TCR Norns   xan   7/9/2010 there's a caos command for that?! I always used ctrl-break or whatever   Malkin Manager     7/9/2010 I don't think I have a break key, so that's why I use quit. The caos help says: QUIT (command) Quits the engine at the start of the next tick, without saving any changes. Call SAVE first to make it save the current world. If doing a sequence like "SAVE QUIT" or "SAVE LOAD menu", do it in an INST section. Otherwise it will sometimes save between the two instructions, meaning it quits (or loads menu) immediately upon reloading. My TCR Norns   ettinlogic   7/10/2010 Hey thanks for the quick replies! ^_^ About the age of the world, I'd just started it actually...about 1 1/2 hrs earlier. Unfortunately I deleted it since I didn't know about the CAOS command you shared with me (thanks, by the way ^_^), but there is good news - I managed to save 1 Norn by accident by exporting him to the my creatures folder before this wierd thing happened. And about Gaia, yeah, I had my suspicions. She's cute, and I wish she was glitch-free, but unfortunately that may never be the case. Life is like a bowl of Ettins   Peppery One Papriko   7/10/2010 I think it doesn't have much to do with the accident, but you seem as when you don't know what Lavaball 6 does: It generates a new special kind of bacterias which massively raise the heat in creatures. Dangerous for most creatures, but Fire and Magma Norns wil like it. Lets play plants! Photosynthesis... Photosynthesis...
